About Us
Where children are seen, heard and inspired to grow.

A child-centred community
At Mount Pleasant Montessori, we strive to provide a warm, prepared environment where every child can explore at their own pace. Our team blends Montessori philosophy with Ontario's Early Learning expectations to build a strong foundation for life.
We work in close partnership with families through an open door policy, regular updates, and shared celebrations — because a child's growth is everyone's joy.
What you can expect from us
We have an open door policy and encourage parents to view our school's Facebook page often for special events, visitors and photos.
Programs designed by Early Childhood Educators, Montessori and Ontario Certified Teachers, aligned with the Ministry of Education.
Ongoing training for staff at every developmental stage — including CPR and First Aid.
Bilingualism in everyday conversation, with daily activities in English and French.
Music and art emphasized throughout our daily routines.
Natural, non-toxic furniture and products that support creative and imaginative play.
A high level of professionalism guided by our Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
A foundation that lasts a lifetime
The Montessori method nurtures independence, focus and respect. Children move between five core areas — Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural — guided by trained educators and a thoughtfully prepared environment.
Most Montessori children begin reading and writing between ages 3 and 4, and develop the social and self-regulation skills that carry them through their school years and beyond.
